Engineering is the key to producing high quality, cost-effective tools. Our engineering department is supported by over 15 Designers and CAM Specialists with years of experience in innovative tool design, surface modeling, reverse engineering and CNC programming. Many of these individuals are former mold makers and machinists with a broad, practical knowledge of the tool making trade.

Since purchasing our first CAD system in 1983, Weber has been an industry leader in CAD/CAM technology. Recent implementation of full 3D solid modeling, 100% shop floor CNC programming and the elimination of paper drawings has resulted in significant improvements in efficiency, quality, and delivery time.

Much of our success in CAD/CAM engineering is due to continuous investment in the best software and hardware. Our extensive capabilities allow us to work with data from virtually any source. Some highlights of our CAD/CAM system are as follows:

• over 25 seats of UGS I-Deas
• other in-house CAD software includes Catia, Unigraphics NX, Autocad, Solid Edge
• all CNC machines equipped with Powermill, MasterCam, or HyperMill software for shop floor programming
• all computers and CNC machines connected via intranet network
• electronic data transfer using various networks including Odette
